Missing Pieces: The Grief Puzzle
One-day workshops for teenagers (grade 9 to 12) who have experienced the death of a family member or close friend are welcome to attend. Developed by BFOHB and facilitated in partnership with area high school social workers.
Teens are at an age where they may already be dealing with other chages in their transition from childhood to adulthood. When the death of a loved one occurs, it is common that these struggles are magnified, leading to confusion, deep grief, despair, anger, hatred and sadness, or a mixture of all these.
Missing Pieces: The Grief Puzzle provides a safe, non-judgemental opportunity for teens to share with each other their experiences, feelings and thoughts about the person who died with other teens in professionally supported environment.
A chance at a healthy future begins today.
Referral: Please pre-register with your school Social Worker or Guidance Counsellor in Hamilton, Halton or Grand Erie School Board.
There is no cost to particpate in this workshop.
